The assembly instructions are terrible, the quality is very poor, and the finished product is underwhelming. I would not recommend buying this closet. The video includes some more details (such as the parts that are falling apart!).

As I was researching for a chest to add to our nursery, I read hundreds of reviews. This particular item had lots of reviews around the length of time and complexity in assembling the unit. I have to say that I dont quite understand any of those previous reviews.The unit arrived yesterday. It was delivered sooner than expected. The box was very heavy, make no mistake about that. I could barely slide it into our house, having no chance of lifting it. The corners of the box were all beat up, presumably due to the aforementioned weight (Poor UPS delivery person!), but the contents are very nicely packed inside with about a 6 inch piece of foam at each end protecting those corners from damaging the unit.The pieces are very nicely marked. Ive assembled lots of furniture and usually the labels on are some items, hard to read, or just confusing in general. Not with this unit. Each item was very clearly marked. I took all pieces out of the box and sat them with their numbers facing me. This made assembly really quite simple.I assembled the unit myself, and yes I am the pregnant one, in a little under 2 hours. It really wasnt bad at all. I used a hammer, a rubber mallet and a phillips screwdriver. Thats all you need.The unit is what you expect for this price, it has a cardboard back (thick, but still cardboard) and the door doesnt have a formal closure system. Mine seems so close quite securely but there is no latch.I am very happy with the unit. Ive taken out the top shelf on the left side and added a bar so I can hang some clothes, this works quite well. The 'baby' hangers fit in here very easily.

You may think that this is an affordable item to buy, but before you do, ask yourself what your time is worth. I say that because putting this piece of furniture together took me about 5 hours. Once it was together, it was unstable and the drawers are very sticky. I dont know if I even want to put it in my daughters room, due to the balance issues. There is not enough support at the top of the piece. The door on the front is junk, with about a 1/2 inch gap all the way around it. It is lined with basically cardboard that rattles when you open the door. Like I said, DONT BUY THIS. I would return it, but honestly I dont have the energy to take it apart and box it up.
